The Story

The Heritage is our best-selling dining table — a hand-carved reclaimed pine table, handmade in England, topped with timber milled from 100-year-old antique floorboards. Available from 180cm to 300cm, seating six to ten.

Those floorboards spent their first century as the floor of a 19th-century Polish industrial building, salvaged before demolition and given a second life here. Every plank still carries the knots, grain and worn patina that only a hundred years of real use can produce. Hand-finished with natural beeswax, the surface deepens in colour over time while keeping every original mark visible. Because each batch of boards comes from a different building, no two tops share the same colour — they range from rich deep brown to warm golden pine. This isn't an applied finish. It's the genuine age and condition of the wood itself.

The Craft

The Heritage is defined by its base: a hand-carved, decoratively profiled pedestal — the more ornate of our two signature silhouettes. It's cut from slow-grown old-growth reclaimed pine, far heavier and more resistant to seasonal movement than fast-grown modern timber. The joinery is traditional hand-cut mortise and tenon, the whitewash finish is a workshop technique refined over more than a decade, and the iron cross-bolt at the centre is structural and original. Every base comes out slightly differently.

Two base profiles, one standard of craft: the Heritage has the decorative carved silhouette, the Ashford a cleaner tapered trestle. Same antique top, two distinct characters.

Aesthetic: Swedish Farmhouse · Belgian Linen · English Country Kitchen. Finish: hand-applied natural beeswax.

Knots, grain and colour differences between tops are not flaws — they are the record of where each floorboard spent the last century, and a significant part of what you're buying.

FAQ

What makes the Heritage your bestseller?
It pairs the antique 100-year-old floorboard top with our most decorative hand-carved base — the most characterful table in the collection, at an accessible price.

What sizes does it come in?
180cm (seats 6), 240cm (seats 8) and 300cm (seats 10), all 90cm.

What is the top made from?
Reclaimed Polish pine floorboards, over 100 years old, salvaged from a 19th-century industrial building.

How is the Heritage different from the Ashford? Same antique top and craftsmanship; the Heritage has a decorative carved pedestal, the Ashford a cleaner tapered trestle.

Will the colour match the photographs? Closely, but not exactly — each top is milled from a different salvaged batch, ranging from deep brown to golden pine. That variation is the point.

Can I order a bespoke size? Yes, from 180cm. Lead time approx. 10–12 weeks.
