The Story Some tables you eat at. The Cotswold stops people in their tracks. Handcrafted in England by a master craftsman to a specification no one else in the UK builds - a singular architectural investment, made to outlast trends rather than follow them.

The Craft Built from slow-grown old-growth reclaimed pine salvaged from 19th-century UK and European structures, in solid planks close to 5cm thick. The tight grain and high density make it far heavier and more stable than the fast-grown pine used in mass-market furniture. Each top is finished by hand in either natural wax or traditional limewash, letting every knot, grain and century of character breathe through. The base is hand-carved in a distinctive gothic pedestal profile using traditional hand-cut mortise and tenon joinery, with a layering technique exclusive to our workshop. No two are ever the same.

In Your Home Three metres seats eight comfortably, ten when it matters. It belongs in a high-ceilinged dining room, a farmhouse kitchen open to the garden, or a converted barn where nothing needs to match. Aesthetic: Monastic Modern · Farmhouse · English Country House.

Bespoke Sizes Available in bespoke dimensions — from a shorter four-seater to a grand extended table. Contact us to discuss your space.

Delivery & Lead Time From £95, delivered to your room of choice ready for self-assembly. Available as a pre-order; lead time typically 10–12 weeks.

Character Note Every Cotswold is unique. Original saw marks, nail holes, knots and tonal shifts are not flaws — they are the record of the wood's history, and a significant part of what you're buying. No factory process can replicate it.

FAQ

What size is the Cotswold and how many does it seat?
The standard table is three metres long, seating eight comfortably and ten when needed. Bespoke sizes are available, from a shorter four-seater upwards.

What is it made from?
Slow-grown old-growth reclaimed pine, salvaged from 19th-century UK and European structures, in solid planks close to 5cm thick.

What finish options are there?
Each top is finished by hand in either natural wax or a traditional limewash. Both enhance the wood's patina rather than masking it.

What makes the Cotswold different from other reclaimed tables?
The top is thicker and denser than mass-market alternatives, the gothic pedestal base is hand-carved with traditional mortise and tenon joinery, and the workshop finish is exclusive to us. Every table is one of a kind.

How is it different from the Ashford?
The Cotswold is the most substantial table in the collection — a thicker old-growth top and a more architectural gothic pedestal. The Ashford is a lighter tapered trestle design.

Can I order a bespoke size?
Yes. Lead time is typically 10–12 weeks.
