From Barn Find to Bespoke Commission
This table has a fascinating origin story. It all started when two authentic massive 40 year old workbenches with incredible character were discovered in a barn in France. We knew immediately we had to do something special with them.
We commissioned our trusted craftsman in Europe to create four new tables inspired by these rare finds, using reclaimed solid oak to capture that same rustic, timeworn beauty. Each features an 11cm thick live edge top, hand-finished with pure beeswax to bring out the rich grain and natural warmth of the wood.
While the original barn finds inspired the design, these tops have never been used for butchery - they're newly crafted pieces made from reclaimed oak timber, built with the same chunky, workbench proportions and honest construction that made those antique tables so captivating.
Only Two Remain
Of the four tables we commissioned, just two are left. Each one is completely unique - different live edges, distinct grain patterns, natural knots, and character marks that tell the story of the reclaimed oak. These aren't imperfections; they're what make each piece irreplaceable.
Built to the same substantial standards as those barn-found originals, these are heirloom pieces designed to last generations. Rare, beautiful, and impossible to replicate.
Delivery & Assembly
These tables are delivered by a specialist 2-man furniture courier. We offer two options:
White Glove Delivery - £149: Delivered, positioned, and fully assembled in your room of choice. All packaging removed.
Room of Choice Delivery - £129: Delivered to your room of choice, ready for self-assembly.
Both options include careful handling and are available across mainland UK. Contact us for a quote for remote postcodes or international delivery.
Character Note
Because this table is made from real reclaimed wood, every piece is genuinely unique. Knots, grain variations, and subtle tonal differences are not flaws — they are the record of the wood's history, and part of what you're buying.

Collection
If you wish to collect item personally from our showroom, please schedule the collection with us.
Shipping
As every order is unique, the costs of delivery will vary depending on the size, weight, location and destination of your chosen items. When available, special delivery conditions such as fixed price or courier delivery will be displayed at check out. For our large items like cupboards or chests the delivery is around £69 UK wide (excluding Northern Ireland).
Tables Delivery & Assembly
Some of our tables are delivered by a specialist 2-man furniture courier. We offer two options:

Delivery times vary by item size. Large furniture (such as dining tables and cupboards) typically ships within 7–14 working days. Smaller items up to 120cm in length usually ship within 2–4 working days. Once your order is ready and shipping has been arranged, we will contact you to confirm delivery details. For larger pieces we work with specialist furniture couriers, and delivery timelines can occasionally be longer depending on your location and courier availability — we’ll keep in touch throughout and update you as soon as a date is confirmed.
International shipping
We ship internationally to Europe, USA and UEA. Learn more about our international shipping process before placing an order online or submit a Shipping Quote Request.
Returns
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
We can offer an exchange or refund on items that are returned to us in the same condition, including packaging, and sold within 14 days of receipt.
We do not accept returns on antiques as noted on the product pages. Read our Return Policy on non-refundable items.
