A solid farmhouse dining table, handmade to order in England. The 4cm-thick top is milled from yellow pine — heavy, dense, and full of the grain, knots and tonal variation that only solid timber carries. It's finished by hand in natural wax, which deepens and darkens the colour as the table ages, so it looks better with every year of use. It sits on a new, hand-finished pine base built in the same English workshop as our flagship reclaimed collection.

Available in four sizes seating 6, 8, or 10 with a choice of base style and a bespoke finish in whitewashed. Pair it with our matching rustic benches for a complete country dining set.

For bespoke larger sizes or finish, contact us directly for quote.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Care & refresh

Everyday care
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry straight away. Use coasters and mats for hot dishes and wet glasses, and mop up spills promptly — natural wax resists everyday marks but isn't fully waterproof. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, which strip the wax.

Keeping the wax fed
Every year months, apply a thin coat of clear natural furniture wax with a soft cloth, leave for around 20 minutes, then buff. This feeds the timber, keeps the finish soft and lustrous, and lets the colour continue to deepen evenly.

Refreshing it — the reason it lasts a lifetime
Because the top is solid reclaimed pine, not veneer, it can be completely renewed. A ring mark, scratch or worn patch that bothers you can be sanded out and the wax reapplied, bringing the top back to bare timber and letting it start ageing again. There's no wear layer to run out of — a solid waxed top can be sanded and re-waxed many times over its life. It's the difference between a table you look after and eventually replace, and one you pass on.

FAQ

Is this a solid wood table?
Yes. The top is solid pine, 4-5cm thick and genuinely heavy. The base is solid new pine. No veneer, no MDF, no flat-pack.

Where is it made?
Handmade to order in England, in the same workshop as our flagship reclaimed dining collection.

What sizes are available and how many does it seat?
Three sizes, seating 6, 8 or 10 people depending on length. For larger sizes, contact us directly for bespoke quote.

Can I choose the finish?
For bespoke finish, please contact us.

Why is it less than your flagship reclaimed tables?
The tables are made of a new pine, not reclaimed or antique wood as in our other tables. Reclaimed and antique timber comes at higher cost in production. Quality of the table stays the same.

Does it need much looking after?
No — everyday care is simple, and because it's solid timber the top can always be sanded back and re-waxed to look new again. That's what makes it a genuine forever piece rather than something you replace.

Can I get matching seating?
Yes — we make rustic benches designed to pair with these tables.
